The most amazed about this book is cost more now than what paid when first published .. something wrong there ... my original not returned and since I have older mobile this book is the best for knowledge... anyone wanting to do DIY need.

Great book

Bought this book for my husband who has been trying to make improvements to our daughters mobile home. This book is very informative. A must have for any mobile home owner especially older models.

Since I am a mobile home owner, I have to do a lot of the repairs and things that need to be done. I am a Contractor by trade, but I do not know the first thing about a mobile home. This book I found, made it crystal clear what needed to be done and how this place is basically put together. Now, I can do the things that I know need to be done. Excellent value and easy to use.

This book is right on the mark. It covers all the usual repair and remodel projects with clear instructions and excellent, color illustrations. Pays for itself in the first project.

EXCELLENT advice, lots of detailed pictures, and in-depth explanations. If you have a Mobile Home, old, or new. Or know someone who does, this is an excellent referance guide!

A Must for New Owners of Mobiles

I bought a mobile home last year, and even though I'm fairly handy with home repair and maintenance, I found that mobile homes have unique features not usually addressed in general do-it-yourself books. Floors, roofs, siding, anchoring, ceiling panels, and windows are just a few of the areas where specialized information is really helpful, and this book covers them all. Plus, everything you need to do is explained in step-by-step fashion with plenty of pictures and helpful hints and tips. Projects are grouped into topic sections covering exterior, interior, systems (plumbing, electrical, heating), and seasonal, safety & security. The book also includes information on closing up your home for the season, pest control, insurance on your home, energy conservation, hiring good help, other resources for mobile home owners, a glossary of terms, a brief history and overview of mobiles, and much more. A great reference to have on hand.
