At a friend's wedding, Danielle finds herself face-to-face with Jake and Trey, the two men she's had a harmless, hopeless infatuation with forever. Two men it's impossible to be with because they're in love... with each other. At least, they were in college. But during the reception Danielle learns that not only are they single, they date women now, opening up the possibility of living out her most sinful fantasy-- sleeping with them both. But when fantasy becomes reality, things become more complicated than Danielle ever imagined. Despite their break-up, Trey and Jake are clearly still in love with each other. The trouble is, now she's falling for them too... I couldn't put this down! The story was FANTASTIC and had me constantly wondering what was going to happen next. It was sizzling and kept you interested throughout the entire book-- Opal Carew is a MUST-READ for lovers of erotic novels :)

It was one of the reasons she had transferred to a different college, and didn't graduate with the few friends she had made. She couldn't bear being around the two lovers when she couldn't have them and wanted so desperately to be with them. When her friend Harmony got married, she thought it would be a perfect opportunity to reconnect with the two men she still missed. Her memory didn't compare to reality when she finally laid eyes on Trey and Jake. They still had a disturbing effect on her libido, and when they approached her about exploring her secret desire to be with them both, she accepted with an equally secret agenda. She had heard Trey and Jake were no longer together, and she made it her mission to make sure the true love between them won out. Dani wasn't prepared for the intense passion that developed between them all. She had tried to protect her fragile heart, but lost that battle! This was a very good read with balance between very sexy passionate encounters and well developed story. You will become engaged from the beginning, and that level of intensity lasts throughout. This is a keeper, and one not to be missed.

Hot and lovely - just how I like erotic romances

"Forbidden Heat" by Opal Carew is a very sexy and lovely erotic romance that left me happy and with a warm and fuzzy feeling. Danielle Rayne's quiet and simple life is about to change. When she meets two of her former best friends, Jack and Trey, again, she realizes how much she missed their friendship. Trey and Jack were a pair when Danielle last met them and she always admired their great relationship. But when she learns that they broke up years ago she realizes that things have changed. In college she was in love with both men but never did something about it. But now it's her chance to spend an exciting night with both of them. What starts as a casual and very hot reunion soon changes when Danielle, Jack and Trey continue their unusual relationship and love finds it way into their hearts. I enjoyed "Forbidden Heat" a lot. The characters are great and the relationship that develops between them is so fascinating, hot and also sweet. There are a lot of very erotic and sexy scenes, so be prepared. The chemistry between Danielle, Jack and Trey is amazing and I loved every scene with the three of them. Danielle is the focus of the relationship. She is a very sweet and caring person, who doesn't believe in love for herself. She wants to get Jake and Trey back together but can't stop from falling in love with both of them. Jake and Trey are two hot and great guys, both need to accept that their realtionship has changed and that Danielle is the best thing that ever happened to them. If you are a fan of erotic romances with strong characters you will love this book. I'm already excited for the next book by Opal Carew, which is coming in June 2010 and is called "Bliss".

Opal Carew explores the dynamics of a ménage relationship in FORBIDDEN HEAT. Danielle reunites with two of her best friends from college thinking they are still a couple. When she learns differently, she finds herself responding to their elusive sexuality until her yearnings, hidden for so long, become a reality. Danielle has traveled to a wedding of a close friend from college. Years ago, she and her friends from the same university were inseparable. But, because of money, Danielle ended up transferring and hasn't seen her friends in years. Two friends in particular have played a huge part in Danielle's life - Trey and Jake. For years she has wondered about these two men as well as fantasized what it would be like to be the woman in their lives. Alas, they were a couple and she is a woman and therefore has no hope of becoming a part of their lives. Trey and Jake still live in the same town - only they no longer date each other. They rarely see each other but still consider themselves friends. Meeting once again at a friend's wedding, Trey and Jake begin talking about old times and their memories include the good times they had with their friend Danielle. Or do they? Opal Carew has weaved a tight web in FORBIDDEN HEAT. The heroes, Trey and Jake, are complex as well as knock your eyes out sexy. A couple years ago but now just friends, the men immediately realize that their lives would be better with Danielle in them. They no longer have feelings for each other and think that a threesome is what they both want - oh how wrong they are! Danielle is almost lost at the beginning of FORBIDDEN HEAT and I loved watching her become more assertive with her needs and her feelings. These men were an important part of her past and I am so excited that they are important to her present and future as well. Passions flare and hearts are vulnerable in FORBIDDEN HEAT. I couldn't put it down and have since reread it twice. If blistering hot ménages and scorching interludes are what you need in a romance novel, then FORBIDDEN HEAT is the book for you! Natalie S.

MMMmmmm....sizzling good!

Great menage story and I loved the way the author set it up. Who hasn't had a crush on two guys at once? Also, the way the men were in love with each other only added to the sexual tension. And putting a girl in between that two-some is quite an interesting way to make the plot sizzle and be so easy to read. I liked it, a lot and will defintely pick up more from this author.
