Kitty is just your average American teenager who just happens to be proudly gay. She meets Sandy and has never been so in love. But, Sandy denies being gay, which breaks Kitty's heart, as so often happen in young romances. Life continues though, as do Kitty's dangerous vices. Before long Kitty befriends a classmate, Jacob, who she's not even sure she likes at first. Nonetheless, through the confusion, their friendship blossoms into something beautiful and precious. On one of the most important nights for her to be there for Jacob, Kitty finds herself in a heap of trouble thanks to her drinking. It takes this pivotal moment for her to start discovering that love for herself as well as for others is truly a fluid matter.
