A good in-between-series book

Before I start I would just to say that 4.5 stars is more accurate. Although Firestars quest is not as good as the first series, but it is book you should read if you liked the first series or if you plan on reading the second series as this explains what occurred between both series. This explains how Firestar rediscovers the long-forgotten Sky-clan,after the near-last leader,Cloudstar, comes to him in a dream, telling him to reunite his clan. In this book,(spoiler!) Bramblepaw also becomes Brambleclaw, making this a good book to read.

Filling in the blanks

I am sure that when Midnight was released, every reader of the Warriors Series had questions as to what happened in between the saga. Firestars Quest answers these questions and a lot more(there is a spolier at the bottom of this review. Erin Hunter wrote a book that explained a lot. Hunter even details the heroic effort Willowpelt made to save her kit. However tragically, the effort led to her untimely demise. I agree that Sagekit somehow had a sex change. The editor needs to read the script from cover to cover. I mean, I have noticed that there has been a pattern of mistakes. There were a few in the Clan Guide, and if you look closely at the sneak peak of Dark River, Mousefur and Mousepaw are mixed up. As for the spolier: it seems that Tigerstar and Spottedleaf are first cousins. That is why Spottedleaf was determined to help Firestar bring the ancestors of SkyClan together.

Things get better!!!

I read Firestar's Quest and thought it a very good addition to the Warriors series. After reading The Sight I thought that maybe Erin Hunter was losing her touch, but no way! The new super edition turned the plot back on Firestar, and produced a new and thrilling adventure. A touch of mystery and suspense keep the plot moving fast. Highly recommended!

A great book

I really enjoyed this book! I thought it was slow in the beginning, but it got so much better! Firestar starts receiving dreams from strange cats. He finds out that the dreams are from the lost clan called SkyClan. He is sent by SkyClan to rebuild it. He and Sandstorm journey to rebuild the lost clan. When he finds the site where the ancient clan settled, he searched to find cats. He found a cat whose mother's mother's was in the clan. The clan had been driven out by something, but the cat Sky wouldn't tell him. In the end, they figured out that it was the rats that had driven out SkyClan. They had a huge battle which is very exciting. The story is really exciting and is really hard to put down. I loved it and I am looking forward to the next two books, both coming out on December 26, 2007! ~Moonpelt~

A great journey!

This is the best of all the books I have read! It explains about what happens between the first and second series. ( I had to read the entire first series over so i didn't get confused) It is well worth the mere cost of $18.00 and if you liked the original warriors you'll love this more! for some reason this book reminded me about Halo...

A unique and timeless journey...

Firestar's Quest is the unique and exciting tale of ThunderClan's beloved leader and his journey to do something no cat has done before: leave his Clan to restore the lost fifth Clan, SkyClan. When mysterious warriors and fleeing cats begin to haunt Firestar's dreams, he is launched on the epic quest to discover what happened to them, and what they want him to do. Firestar is sent far from his forest home with nothing but his strange dreams and his faith in StarClan to guide him... But will Firestar be able to complete the daunting task they have asked him to complete? This book is a definite read for anyone who has followed the Warriors series and is looking for an exciting and unique read (this tale is like nothing that has been in the Warriors books before). Not only is it a good story on its own, but it also ties in with the prophecy of The Power of Three: 'There will be three, kin of your kin... Who hold the power of the stars in their paws,' and bridges the gap between the final book of the Warriors series and the first book of The New Prophecy. Overall, Firestar's Quest was a wonderful book, and I recommend it to anyone looking for another fabulous Warriors tale.
