A companion volume, standing apart from the five stages - myth, fable, and imagined worlds carrying the same weight the confessional poems carry directly.
A sun grows so lonely it asks the sky to build it a companion out of nothing. A prisoner dreams of a captive light guarding a kingdom, and watches the dark get in anyway. A flower learns that the lonely are easier to bloom on than the loved, and it's patient enough to wait centuries for the right heart. A voice in the wind drags a confession out of someone who thought they'd buried it for good. And at the very end, something ancient and sleeping gets called by name, and asked - by an entire chorus, in one voice - to finally wake.
