More of a look behind the scenes

This is part of the Famous Trials series, which gives readers a look at the context and the trial of some of the more important cases in American Law. As shown in this book, not all trials are just one trial. There was actually two trials, Brown I and Brown II, involved with this case. Further, there were actually four lawsuits from different areas, which were combined under this one case for hearing before the Supreme Court. This book not only gives the reader insight into these cases, but it also gives some information about the case which was overruled by this one, Plessy v. Ferguson. The book has inset information to provide the readers with more information about some of the people and institutions mentioned in the narrative. Here, the information was interesting and didn't distract from the narrative. I would recommend this book to understand the trial and the background rather than the case itself.
