A little outdated but still an excellent history on the Ocean Liner.

This book was published in the late 1980s so it's a bit out of date. But it still has a wealth of knowledge about various Ocean Liners from the late 1800s to the late 1980s. Roughly a century of ocean liner history in one book. It contains a nice selection of pictures (mostly in black and white but with a few color inserts) and a good general history on the Ocean Liner. If you're worried that it's going to give an inordinate focus on the RMS Titanic, don't worry. It largely gives just a cursory overview of the Titanic disaster but it doesn't focus on it exclusively. Overall, this book is great for both kids and adults. Pictures for the kids, plus the history/knowledge for the adults as well.
