The book describes how this mammoth effort of 110 ships and 28,000 men was put together, with sufficient logistical backing, and shows how the victory was accomplished within the limited resources available.

It also tells how a skilled force of highly trained professional soldiers, sailors and airmen were able to dislodge the Argentinians leading to one of the most outstanding military feats of the late twentieth century.
