King of Romance Narrative

I have had the signed hardcover limited edition of this book since 1993. I am stunned that people still covet this title to add to their Fabio collections. The book starts with a lengthy explanation of who Peter Paul is and what his relation is to the `King of Romance'. Then you go into the phenomenon that is Fabio, where you get numerous photos of the man during the early years and a story of his beginnings. Leading into the unavoidable romance cover boy career where you get book covers galore. The ill-fated CD (After Dark) is next up along with the similarly fated fragrance for men (Mediterranean). From here we go onto more pleasant projects that faired better...his calendars. Then back to the ill fated with his 900 number phone line from 1992. Doesn't get much better as you turn the page to see Acapulco H.E.A.T and then is two VHS debuts (A Time for Romance & Fabio Fitness). Trash magazine coverage leads into the People weekly coverage and adoring crowds of middle-aged women mauling the romance king near the end of this section. Thus concluding the phenomenon known as Fabio. From here we are directed to the story of the man. Pictures of his loving family and young Fabio adorn these pages along with a cliff notes version of his life story. Turn a few pages and you are at home with Fabio where he works out, plays with his pets and presents his barrage of automobiles. His prominent acquaintances are then displayed in picture form in the next four pages. At the end of it all we are left with the message...where we get Fabio's views on religion, his fight against cancer, fitness, and last but not least his search for the special woman. All in all, if you are a fan of this Romance King you will cringe at a few of the more ill fated career moves but sucked in by those adorable baby photos that all women fall for.
