I started this project in 2015, and I am excited to finally share my story with you.
I hope you enjoy it
Evan Cole volunteered to become the first human mind to survive without a human body.
Now, he may be the only human left.
When Evan wakes inside a failing underground laboratory, the people who conducted the experiment are gone. He cannot move, see, or touch anything without relying on damaged machines, and the facility's dwindling power could shut him down permanently before he discovers what happened.
Running out of power may not be his greatest problem.
Broken equipment, corrupted systems, failing memories, and one wrong repair could destroy the machinery keeping him alive.
But Evan is not ready to disappear.
Drawing on his intelligence, engineering knowledge, and stubborn refusal to quit, he begins rebuilding his connection to the world, one camera, circuit, and improvised machine at a time. Each success carries him farther from the laboratory and closer to the truth about what happened while he was gone.
Will Evan survive long enough to discover how much of the world remains, and whether he is still truly human?
