Duck & Goose,How Are You Feeling?

I bought for my great nephew as a Christmas present, He loved the others books about Duck & Goose

Another great Duck & Goose book

This book gives an opportunity to speak about feelings with your little one. This is one of my 18 month old's favorites right now. I don't think my son understands most of the feelings being portrayed in the pictures yet but he enjoys it anyway.

Attached to Duck & Goose

This was one of three Duck & Goose books I received through a rewards program and it was definitely the right choice. My daughter loves these books. She can see the word for the feeling as well as how that feeling feels. For sad the sky is gray, the flowers are drooping and duck hangs his head, for happy duck and goose are jumping, the sky is blue, big pink flowers are blooming and butterflies surround the birds. Tad Hills did a great job with this book and the pictures are wonderful. I can't wait to get the other Duck & Goose books!

Cute and educational

My daughter is 13 months a LOVES this book. Some of the feelings are advanced for this age (patient, hopeful) but I explain it to her, which is why I think she likes it. The book says "patient", and I explain the duck is patient because he is waiting for a snail and that takes a long time. I think she likes the combination of reading the book and hearing the explanation. I think this is a good book for little ones that are learning to express themselves because it teaches the words that go with feelings, encouraging them to say a word (frustrated) rather than have a tantrum because they can't explain it.

My almost 3yr old LOVES this book

I bought this book for my daughter because she was such a huge fan of the other 2 Tad Hills books we have. She was immediately mesmerized by this book. She wouldn't put it down. She was actually brushing her teeth with the book propped on the counter. I ended up letting her read herself to sleep (which probably wasn't a good idea as she was still up an hour later) She just LOVES this book. What I love about the book is the dialog it started between my daughter and I. We discussed what was happening on each page and how that lead to the 'feeling' being portrayed. It was nice to discuss feelings and what happens when you feel a certain way. Very simple dialog in the book itself and the pictures do justice for the feeling. (in the typical Duck, Goose way) I highly recommend this book- as well as the other Tad Hills book! (just don't give it to your peanut to take into bed, they won't go to sleep)

Devon loves Duck & Goose! So does Grammy!

For quite some time, I've been buying books to save for my great-grandson Devon for future reading adventures. Who could resist the huge collection they have in today's market? But when I came across these sturdy board books, I decided NOW is the time to really get him started on the first of many humorous, stimulating adventures with hilarious animal characters. I started him on the first in this series What's Up, Duck?, and his happy reaction to the colorful pictures and funny characters made the second book mandatory. He enjoyed Duck & Goose, 1, 2, 3 just as much, so we were both sold on this series. I just received Duck & Goose, How Are You Feeling? and can't wait to visit him for some more quality time together. Reading to Devon and being rewarded by his happy giggles, bright, sunny smile and warm hugs is one of the highlights of my life. These books have such lovable characters it's hard to choose a favorite. In addition to Duck and Goose, Devon giggles as he points to Thistle and Bluebird. I think Bluebird is his favorite, but it's too soon to tell This is a charming book. Author/Illustrator Tad Hills has a rare gift in two arts; he certainly understands what triggers children's laughter and stimulates their imagination. Very highly recommended for pre-schoolers.
