BRILLIANT

Buy a copy, you will definitely not be disappointed. One would think that a cabbie would be ham-handed and boorish at the keyboard, but MC Mars is nothing less than poetic.

Good Read

Interesting read from a career cabbie. I enjoyed the book even though I am not a taxi cab driver. If you like intersting stories, then grab a copy of this book.

Driven to Write What Drives Us All

MC Mars puts it on paper so fine so clean so pure you'd swear he's got a heavenly mandate not an earthly medallion. He's a night man, his words are beams of light, he sees into us, he's here to pick you up. Which is why I couldn't put it down. I read it like it was a shot, an ounce, every line a line. From start to end like he asks you to. Deep-down writing by a driven man who's just trying to see what drives us. Get this now and let it read you. Let him take you.

You can't make this stuff up!

This book gives new meaning to "all in a day's work". M.C. Mars has polished his day-to-day experiences, using the lyrical beauty of elegant and soaring language juxtaposed with raw, hip-hop inflected, street slang. I couldn't put it down.

A Real Slice

"This book is off the hook!" I'm sure that's what the author wants us to believe as he publishes his freshman effort at Indie Urban Lit. The old adage, "Truth is stranger than fiction" applies here; as I'm sure you'll agree, he could not be making this stuff up. Through the use of clever metaphors and edgy street vernacular, Mars has exposed a cross-section of the characters that populate the night in San Francisco. A must-read for anyone curious about what REALLY goes on inside a night cab in that city from another planet, San Francisco.
