A wonderful book!

My son absolutely loves Dig and Dug! The book was a gift almost a year ago and not a day goes by where he does not ask to read it! At this point he has it memorized and he reads it to me! What a wonderful early reading tool. I am looking for additional "Dig and Dug" style books to add to his reading collection.

Silly?

Isn't that what children love? My 2 year old son asks for this book by name and wants to read it at least once a day. He can tell you the story himself using the few words he knows. We've read it so much and enjoyed it that unfortunately our copy is beyond repair. Sad to see that it's out of print.

Silly or not my baby loves it!

My 17 month old takes this book wherever he goes. The story I admit lacks alot for adults, but the pictures and even the way the story sounds keeps his attention. Not a day goes by that we don't hear "Dig Dug" "Dig Dug"! It's too bad paper doesn't hold up well- that's why we need another copy. I don't know what we would do if we couldn't repalce it.

My 20 month old daughter forces me to read it nightly

My 20 month old daughter "moo"s with the cow on page 1, "Baa"s with the sheep on page 2, and says "Shoo" ever time she sees the scarecrow. The simple-but-attractive art work looks so 3-d like that she was trying to grab the leaves off the trees during the first 10 readings or so.The colors are bright and simple - perfect for a toddler. Unfortunately, the only other books I have been able to locate which feature these characters were 2 sticker books which had "Choking hazard" warnings. The stickers can't be used by the age-bracket the book are likely to be read by
