Dead Roads Ahead
One moment, Steph was part of a group trying to survive. The next, screams tore through the trees, roamers flooded their camp, and she was running for her life with Jake, the one person who managed to stay at her side.
Lost in the Northern Ontario wilderness, with winter still clinging to the ground and the dead closing in, Steph and Jake have no choice but to trust each other. He knows how to survive. She is learning fast. Every road, cabin, creek, and stretch of forest brings a new threat, and every mistake could be their last.
But the dead are not the only danger out there.
As Steph and Jake fight their way through the ruins of the world they knew, the line between survival and feeling something more begins to blur. What started as two people trying to make it back to their group becomes something deeper, something neither of them expected, and something neither of them may survive losing.
Jake is searching for his family.
Steph is running from a past that refuses to stay behind her.
And the roads ahead are anything but safe.
In a world filled with roamers, desperate survivors, and people who may be more dangerous than the dead, one thing becomes clear.
The road takes what it wants.
And it is not finished with them yet.
Dead Roads Ahead is a YA post apocalyptic survival novel with forced proximity, found love, family stakes, dangerous roads, and a Canadian end of the world setting.
