I was disappointed by how much of the charts are incomplete, especially the Manor House on p. 44 & 45 (Village Sampler). Had that have been a complete chart or even included the Manor House (I don’t mind figuring out borders), my review would be much different and more positive. As it is, I felt like her book was “phoning it in” which is never okay for those of us who don’t have the ability to design for ourselves. This book is headed for the donation pile.
Not Quite What I Expected But Good For 1989
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 16 years ago
Jane greenoff published this book in 1989. And it would have been lovely then. She used colored pencil to chart and gave some interesting instructions on working with watercolor. But, as pleased as I am to add this to my library I am happier with her more recent books, particularly: "The Best of Jane Greenoff," and "The NEW Cross stitcher's Bible." I did see some different patterns in here such as the lighthouse, Greek Village, and Castle ruins, very creatively explored. These are not in other books that I have seen.
