Carpet Diem: A Billie Sue Dalton Cozy Mystery

By Ed Lynskey

Billie Sue Dalton manages the Got U Covered Carpet Shop, her family business in the small town of Larkspur, Virginia, nestled amid her beloved Blue Ridge Mountains. Her unflappable younger sister, Tori, and her laidback father, Sloan, assist her. When one of Billie Sue's neighbors, Kate Upshaw, is discovered murdered, Billie Sue sees Sheriff Bump Wray is in over his head with conducting Kate's homicide investigation. Billie Sue helps him while their romance heats up. Meanwhile, her energetic seven-year-old son, Luke, gets into mischievous trouble, while her ex, Stu, living on the West Coast, keeps phoning her at the worst times. Somehow, she keeps all the balls in the air, which includes solving the cleverly tangled whodunit. Told with puckish humor, set in a picturesque locale, and populated by a colorful slate of characters, Carpet Diem, the second title in a new series, challenges and entertains today's cozy mystery readers.
