A Must Have Guide for Right-Brainers

This book puts everything in perspective for Right-Brainers. You don't have to fit into a mold, you can be different and also productive. Lee makes you feel that is okay to take a different path to your destined goals. Without goals whether you are left-brained or a right-brained person the journey will be long and dubious. This book provides the outline necessary to truly get to know one-self and what you expect out of life and career. The techniques given are clear and realistic. The author states the process with humor and personal antidotes; this gives the reader a positive mental view that anything is possible. This book is a must read for any Creative along with Lee's other book Time Management for the Creative Person. With this winning combination, if the techniques are applied I believe you can be on your way to a very long profitable and most of all enjoyable career and life.

Career Management for the Creative Person

At a point where I'm considering a career change, this book has been a great help. Lee's books are fun to read, and this one is also great! He puts in a lot of helpful tips, quizes, and lists. Being more "both-brain" than right brain makes no difference in the insight that this book provides to people wanting to know "why" they do what they do for a living. Put this book on your list of "must reads!"

A MUST BUY

Lee Silber has done it again, writing an excellent help guide for any writer or artist, or anyone who is even remotely thinking of becoming one. Silber provides icredible insight, energy, and confidence on a friendly, conversation level that I think the masses can easily relate to. Who else could find one venue to meld anecdotes from the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Ally Sheedy, William Shakespeare, and Ryan Leaf? Even if you aren't an aspiring creative, you'll love all of the little stories and advice Silber provides. It's a very entertaining reading, and he's obviously done his homework.

BUY THIS BOOK!

When I saw this book, it had my name written all over it. Being a creative person is wonderful but it is also a challenge. Career Management for the Creative Person helps to put everything into perspective so one can successfully and happily fulfill their dreams. I loved Lee's style of writing. I was never bored and found the book hard to put down. I was inspired by numerous stories but more importantly, I was given practical advice. Creative types, like myself, don't like the word "practical", but as Lee points out, the successful artist needs to develop this skill to some degree to create success. I really identified with this and it is has helped me focus and go for what I want. I actually loved the chapter on "The Seven (Bad) Habits of Highly Ineffective Creative People". Lee points out all the trouble that creatives can get into and after reading this chapter, you really want to avoid those bad habits (like procrastination and getting into debt) . If you are creative, know a creative person & /or you just want to read a really great book, BUY THIS BOOK!
