Calder's Wire [Chinese]

When abstract lines and blocks of color dance, they become Calder's dynamic sculptures. Calder's Wire begins with a simple line - a piece of wire. It is important to know that before him, no artist had used wire, such a "common" industrial material, to make artwork. Iron wire is like a companion accompanying Calder all the way to play: when he was a child, he turned into his favorite ducks and puppies together with copper; when he grew up, he set up the "Calder Circus" together with pulleys and motors, in addition to iron wire lions and elephants, and iron wire villain walking on a tightrope, swinging, and even incarnated as the fiery Parisian singing and dancing star, Josephine! ...... But Calder is still not satisfied, thinking about how the sculpture can move on its own. Like the starry skies he once gazed at with his parents at night on their Arizona ranch.
