By Lantern's Light is a fascinating book, telling the story about what women accomplished during the Civil War, both on the fields and behind the lines in rendering battlefield relief. The story presents all the drama of that era; yet love, adventure and humor play well upon the pages, enticing the reader to read on. Being a nurse, I really appreciated what women were able to do during that time period and with so little. By Lantern's Light is a good read and a interesting historical novel.
Great First Novel

"By Lantern's Light" spins an exciting tale about women's contributions during the Civil War. The women who worked under the flag of the U.S. Sanitary Commission deserve to be remembered! Having been an attorney in Washington, I was intrigued and impressed by what those women achieved in the halls of government at a time when ladies were seldom heard much less allowed to be active participants. A wonderful first novel for Mrs. Cutrona - - a talented writer! ! I can't wait for a sequel and hopefully a movie.
