Book Overview

Spirited and whip-smart, these laugh-out-loud autobiographical essays are "a masterpiece" from the Emmy Award-winning actress and comedy writer known for 30 Rock , Mean Girls , and SNL ( Sunday Telegraph ). Before Liz Lemon, before "Weekend Update," before "Sarah Palin," Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. Good content, Bad Book Condition

I love the book as far as Tina Fey's writing and content goes. When I ordered this book, however, I requested a 'Very Good' condition book. This is definitely not very good condition. It came with bent pages, scratches on the paperback cover ( front and back), and has dents in the cover. It also looks like it had water damage at some point. I'm really not thrilled with the condition of my book, but at least I can still read it I guess, and have no problem with the content. It's just disappointing because I wanted to keep it, but I'll probably end up spending more to buy a nicer looking book.

Book was great. Condition was not.

I am enjoying the content within the group. At least as much as I’ve read so far. However I ordered a “good” condition book and it came in bent and smashed like the hulk tried to read it.

Great and quick read

I'm not a huge fan of Tina Fey generally, but I loved 30 Rock enough that I decided to pick up this book. I suppose the book is aimed more towards women, but I'm a man and thought it was still hilariously awesome. The book goes through her life, from being raised by her Greek mother and awesome father, to SNL, to 30 Rock, having a kid. The book is very well well written and the jokes in here are exactly what you would expect out of Tina Fey. Although the book feels a bit unorganized, each of her stories felt connected (hard to explain this in an online book review). If you're not sure whether or not to pick up the book, just do it. It's well worth the read. There is also a 5 hour audiobook, which is narrated by herself, and is fairly entertaining!
