THE MESSY LIVES OF BOOK PEOPLE by Phaedra Patrick While the concept of this book (famous yet reclusive author asks her house cleaner to write/finish her last novel) isn’t original, I was intrigued enough to give it a chance: This had a lot of heart and humor, and of course books! The message of not waiting to follow your heart was a little in your face, but I didn’t mind. What I did mind was Liv’s doormat of a husband! Other than his lack of a spine, the rest of the characters were likeable. I also liked the peek into the publishing industry. Recommend if you need something light and easy to read in between heavier novels. Rating: 3.5/5 ⭐️
