Skies the limit (4.5)

BLUE SKIES was an exceptionally well-written military romance story not only was it witty but it was also one of those stories that you could remember. Ms. Byrd brings the blue skies to you with a little romance and a little competition between lovers. Captain Sydney "Serious" Garnett is a military inbreed who learn the joy of flying from her father and when it became her time to enlist, she did it with pride not only pride but also she was the epitome of a solider and a pilot. Lt. James Colton was what some would call cocky but a pilot with tricks that many would not attempt. When he finds himself face to face with a sienna beauty, he finds himself looking into the eyes of his own soul but of course, nothing comes easy. Lt. Colton & Capt Garnett find their selves in competition for being named the finest pilot in a Special Operations program. When Colton finds himself at the end of Garnett's antics he realizes that she's not only his equal but she is also one of the best pilots in the US Air Force but also she's younger than him as well as outrank him but it still won't stop him from going after her. The two find their selves involved in a manner that no one would have ever thought but not before the minor secret, which Colton and the other males of the program could screw up his chances of a successful relationship. When James finds himself having to go after Sydney in a war zone, he has his heart in his throat thinking the worse could have happened to the women he loves but not before he remembers, what made him loved her the way he did. Ms. Byrd writes a story that shows true love at its best but also love when nothing can part the two not even an extended time of being apart.

Very good read

I am fast becoming an Byrd fan. The military plot adds to the richness of the romance. This is a great love story that does not go over the top with unreal story plots. Pick up this book you will not be sorry.

A Five Star Romantic Feast!!

What can I say that hasn't already been said? I have come to expect the best from Adrianne Byrd and to date I have never been disappointed. I didn't think that I would enjoy a story about a female fighter pilot, but in true "Byrd" fashion she brougt it home. In BLUE SKIES we meet Sydney a female fighter pilot and Jett, who is also a pilot and the man who makes her body soar. It didn't matter that she outranked him, he was man who knew exactly what he was and what he wanted. That just happened to be Sydney. The sparks that exploded off the pages when the two of them were together is the stuff that makes a great romance, and makes the readers come back for more. With secondary characters that you could hug and beg for their own story, to the ones you wanted to strangle or slap repeatedly, BLUE SKIES will leave you fulfilled. Bring out the cold drink and the tissues and be prepared for a reading feast.

Just that GOOD!

Another good one! (of course). I can definitely see this on played on the small, medium or big screen. Adrianne got me towards the end. At first I was like no no no no no noooooo! LOL! Also that damn Nicey one minute I was hmmm ok. The next I was like I need for you to take a damn seat...you hater! And Jett.....phew! The way Adrianne descibed his eyes. He had a lot going on with him. At times through out the book my heart went out to hime. I liked Syd too. She tired to be all tough and act like she didn't need anybody. Adrianne had me damn near tearing out through out the book. It would be interesting to read Jett's brother's story (he seems just as complex as Jett) also Syd's brother too. This book had a great mix of everything. Keep up the good work!

Byrdwatchers Beware!!!

Another HOT one!!!. Adrianne don't mess around. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The chemistry between Sydney and Jett was great. Sydney was certainly a no-nonsense woman when it came to her work and the way she put knocked Jett down a peg or two when he needed it was great. And Jett was "all kinds of sexy". I was LOVIN it!!! It definitely had me on the edge a few times, and the relationship between Sydney and her brother was how all brother/sister relationships should be. Again, another great book. Adrianne!!!
