A tour de force in Christian fiction suspense

I'm always skeptical when I see a team-written novel. Not so with this book by Rosey Dow and newcomer Andrew Snaden. The chapers blend so seamlessly I could not tell who had written what. The story revolves around Laura McIvor, who lives under an assumed name in Seattle because her father was found guilty of treason for selling secrets to the top world powers. Dow and Snaden have the perfect cast of characters for their novel and describe them well. I especially liked the humor element throughout the book - hard to do in a fast-paced, high-action suspense novel. The heroine and hero have just the right amount of tug-and-pull and the plot is believable and satisfying straight through to the end.I look forward to this writing team's next book.

Betrayed - A Nonstop Adventure of Twists and Turns

Steeped in espionage and counter-intelligence, Snaden and Dow's book, Betrayed, builds intrigue and suspense through refreshing eloquence and descriptive simplicity. The tapping of subconscious levels of recognition evident in things such as PTL Computers and an underlying humor - when I read about someone sitting in front of a monitor, his frog face reflecting the green screen- I laughed. I could really see it, and saw too, the genius of this writing team. With honest portrayals of the spiritual struggle everyone faces, the characters of Betrayed depict real people who have stepped away from their faith and find themselves returning as they deal with past mistakes and face the future. A fast-paced novel that keeps the reader rivoted, never knowing which way it will turn, it shines through with life values of the Christian faith. This book stands alone.

Excellent Book

As mentioned by another reviewer, this book steps away from the traditional Christian fiction in that it is not always apparent that all will be well and good when you flip the page. Many of the characters are non-Christians, and the character development is amazing. The vivid descriptions make it evident that a lot of research was put into making this a great book. The authors show a knowledge of governmental procedures and the technical aspects are accurate also. After reading this book, I would recommend anything by these authors. The plot of this book is not easily guessable, and the sudden twists make it extremely hard to put down.

Well Worth The Read

I have a confession. I'm don't enjoy much Christian fiction that has been out over the years. As a Christian author I hate to admit that, but it's true. That said, I loved Betrayed by Rosey Dow and Andrew Snaden. Betrayed is a different breed of Christian fiction. This fast paced novel kept my attention and rang with authenticity. The research Dow and Snaden did shows in their obvious knowledge of the Seattle area and computer terminology. Strong character development and well written dialogue enhance vivid descriptions and a true-to-life story line that could easily happen. Definitely worth reading. Congratulations to fiction's newest team and I am positive we will be hearing more from them.
