basic Environmental Health

Environmental health is a primary concern of many university teaching and research curricula within a variety of academic degree programs that usually include the word "environmental' such as biology, engineering, ethics, law, management, medicine, planning, politics, and sociology. Therefore, it is difficult to write a textbook that coherently captures the essence of the methods and applications used in all of these disciplines. In three sections, Basic Environmental Health succeeds in conveying key concepts and methods widely regarded as pillars of environmental-health science--namely, the survey of environmental risk factors, human exposure assessment, and source characterization and mitigation.
