What a heartwarming story! .....

Baby Blessed by Debbie Macomber Silhouette Special Edition # 895 - July 1994 Molly and Jordan's marriage fell apart three years before with the SID death of their son. Molly needed to grieve openly for her son, and Jordan only wanted to erase everything that hinted that his son had ever existed. So Molly left their home; spent some time with her father; and then signed up for mission work as a nurse in a politically unstable African country. Jordan has met someone and he'd like to move on with his life, but when he seeks out Molly to sign the divorce papers, he's shocked to find that she's in imminent danger. Rushing to Africa to haul Molly home, Jordan is faced with the fact that Molly's every bit as desirable to him as she ever was. Hiding from the rebels, passion flares between them. When they return home, Molly discovers she's pregnant. Jordan learns that he's still very much in love with his wife, but he can't seem to feel anything for the unborn child. This is Ms. Macomber's 50th book written. What a heartwarming story! Emotionally intense, powerfully written. Molly and Jordan both finally come to terms with their son's death, and realize the pain that their own walls had cost the other. This story grabs your heart right up to the last page. Read the sequel to this story -- Just Married - SSE #1003 - January 1996

Well done!

I'm not used to reading a Debbie Macomber book that has so much sex in it, but beyond all the groping, there was a touching story about the grieving process and emotional healing after losing a child to SIDS. It's a topic that's not addressed too often, and the author did a wonderful job of presenting it in a very real and deeply human manner. (According to the author's notes, the cover models for this edition of the book are her own children! That added a nice personal touch.)

Tragedy Split Them Asunder, Can Danger Heal Them?

Jordan Larabee is in love with an accomplished architect named Lesley. At least he thinks he is. And he thinks he needs to get on with his life. In that vein he went to see old Ian Houghton, his ex-wife's father. He and Molly split up three years ago when their son died in his crib. With his death, their marriage just seemed to die as well. Anyway, now Jordan needs Molly's signature on the divorce papers, so he can start life anew with Lesley. However Ian tells Jordan that Molly is in Manukua, an African country beset by violence. A more dangerous place on the planet, she couldn't be in. She is a nurse and she's there working to make the world a better place, but Manukua seems to be sinking further and further into the darkness. Ian was going to go and try to get her out, but he's too old, too frail. He asks Jordan to go in his stead. How will Molly react when she sees Jordan? She has never gotten over the lose of her child. Can time really mend a broken heart? Will Jordan still be so set on filing those papers once he sees Molly? And what of Lesley. All questions you'll delight in finding the answers to as you page through this wonderful romance. But wait, there's more. Action and Adventure await you in this tale. Molly's compound is under attack when Jordan and the mercenaries he's hired arrive to get her out and you'll just never believe what happens to our couple. Well, the book's title might give some of it away, but there's so much more. I just loved this book and I think you will too.
