This book is a collection of short stories I wrote that describe incidents that evolved over an eighty year period of my life. Sometimes reflective, sometimes expressive, and hopefully entertaining.

At a certain time of life, we often reflect on those experiences that have brought meaning, encouragement and humor to our lives. Such are the stories in this book.

The life of me as a boy, living in a small town, with aspirations of world travel, transitions to reflections of those travels that opens one's eyes to the consequences of having achieved those goals of world travel and high adventure.

You will experience some of the dilemma of decisions not well thought out to the joys of exhilaration in having proceeded, without deterrence, toward a lofty goal. A decision or two while in the Navy lead to sickness and some near death struggles. Other well conceived plans brought about exceptional joy and six months of travel in fourteen countries on a thirty year old's early retirement.

All the stories in this book are true events, but in places names have been changed to protect certain individuals' privacy. I hope you enjoy reading this book as much as I enjoyed writing it.
