Creepy mannequin hands

This book is so creepy! They aren't even human hands! Firstly, the only words, in Italian, are on the back cover. There are no words or instructions on the inside pages. Nada. Just one photograph of an artistic manicure per page. I was flipping through and it took me a moment to figure out that something was wrong. The fingers didn't look human. The skin tone was eerily even and there were no creases. Then you see that there are TOO MANY FINGERS in that photo! There's no way a human hand could contort that way. There's even one set of hands that has 6 fingers on the left hand and only 3 fingers on the other, but there are 4 NAILS, all beautifully water-marbled. 2 nails growing out of one finger, finger length out of order, insanely long fingers, nails grown in inhuman ways. You can't even appreciate the nail art, it is so disturbing!
