Are You Satisfied Yet, is the story of Betty Jean Carlson and Ezekiel Zeke Johnson. Betty Jean is a beautiful woman inside and out and has it going on in her professional life but her personal life is a straight up MESS! She loves Ezekiel and believes her love will eventually make him change his lying, cheating, ways. Ezekiel is very handsome with an ego and nerve the size of Texas. He is also doing well in his profession. Actually the only thing he's not doing well in is...FIDELITY. After almost six years of living together Betty Jean is still of the belief that a commitment from him and marriage is still possible. Unfortunately someone forgot to tell that to Ezekiel! While Betty Jean knows all about his continued unfaithfulness with other women it's when Carla Jeffries enters the picture and stays there, that she finally begins to question, is love really enough. And at what cost...her self respect, peace of mind? M Bridges debut novel, Are You Satisfied Yet, is a must read. There are twists and turns that will have you unable to put this book down until you reach the last page. And even then you'll be clamoring for more. The characters are so three-dimensional that by the time you finish reading their story you will swear you know them...FOR REAL. I've had the privilege of reading book two in the Betty Jean series, Getting up and Getting on, and can't wait for the rest of the world to read it. It's fantastic and going to blow your minds!

I think that everyone woman that has ever put up with a man who cheats on them and does not give them all the love she is do, should read this book and get a spine. I loved the way this book brought out emotions and memories in my own life and made me grateful that I am not where I was yesterday, as the characters grew withing themselves

And I hate Carla. And for me and any reader, that makes this first book of the Betty Jean titles so worthwhile. What an wonderful read! What engaging characters! MBridges is an amazing storyteller and I find it hard to believe that this is her first novel. I don't normally read stories in this genre, however after seeing the wonderfully designed cover on the website (which isn't displayed here for some reason) and after reading the excerpt, I was hooked. The novel flows amazingly well because the characters, specifically Ezekiel and Carla, create the sort of complex tension so critical for good stories. The plot, which is layered on many levels-which I won't give away-is refreshingly different from the normal cookie cutter fare cluttering today's book shelves. The only problem I had with it was that the story was over far too quickly. Reading it made me think of those great television miniseries that keeps you on the edge of your seat and an eye on the calendar. Yes, I wanted to read more about Betty Jean and I could not! Thanks a lot MBridges. If the rest of the books in the series are as good as this first effort, then I predict this saga will definitely be made into a tv or cable miniseries. I just hate having to wait that long. And I hate Carla.
