Angel Ark (A Cane's Laws Novel)

By T.Q. Chant

Lance is just looking for a quick score, a hustle that will keep him on the move. What else is an up-and-coming con artist from a dusty backwater world going to do in the teeming metropolis of New Edinburgh? He seems to have found a golden opportunity, falling in with an experienced crew as they're a grifter short in the middle of a run. The score comes with more complications than he really likes. With possible enemies on all sides and a shadowy organisation harrying his steps, Lance has to move fast and take bigger and bigger risks in order to stay alive and, preferably, get paid. He's picked up some rules for life and crime from the crew, and they stand him in good stead. Only problem is, it's hard to know who to trust and where to turn as he stumbles onto the mystery of the Angel Ark and the powerful entities seeking it. Crime, ideology and myth collide in this fast-paced novel set against the backdrop of Sam Cane's fight against the Saved, and sets up important events for the series as well as introducing new characters.
