Bilateral relations between Haiti and the Dominican Republic experienced periods of both tension and cooperation during the 2010-2020 period. This research study, divided into four chapters, aims to analyze these relations from diplomatic and commercial perspectives, focusing on the key events and actors that have influenced the evolution of these relations. We also analyze the initiatives taken by both countries to strengthen cooperation in areas such as border security, migration, and bilateral trade.During this research, we found that diplomatic and trade relations between Haiti and the Dominican Republic during the 2010-2020 period were tumultuous. First, on the diplomatic front, relations between the two countries were strained on several occasions during the period under review. In 2013, the Dominican Republic made a controversial decision to revoke the citizenship of thousands of people of Haitian origin. This decision triggered a humanitarian crisis and led to a decline in diplomatic exchanges between the two countries.
