"Abstractions" features the work of famous Swiss photographer Jean-Paul Cattin. The book includes a variety of his abstract photographs of New York and Europe, revealed under the poetic and decadent light of the artist. The book also includes photographs from his latest international exhibitions. Jean-Paul Cattin was born in 1964 in Geneva. By the age of 14 his works were published regularly in the Swiss local press and in 1986 he completed his studies at the Photography School of Vevey. Shortly after, Cattin moved to Paris where he produced portraits, fashion and advertising campaigns. He also directed several international commercial films. Today Jean-Paul produces large-scale abstract photographs in which reality is reinterpreted in a poetic and dramatic manner. His work is featured at Masters & Pelavin Gallery in New York and Art ria Gallery in Montreal. Based in Geneva Jean-Paul works in New York and London.
