Their friendship results in a book project, books written by children for children, called A BOOK by ME. Deb Bowen describes her journey meeting Jewish survivors, WWII veterans who were eyewitnesses to the horrors of the camps and Christians who risked their own lives to save a Jewish person. Bowen's walk with Esther has taken her many places she would not have gone without having their friendship in her life.
