Rescued from a sexually abusive situation, the beautiful Lovely Sinclair is grateful to her friends Candace and Joy. Seeing Lovely as a cash cow, she is manipulated by her friends to lure unsuspecting male suitors into their trap. As Lovely's conscience kicks in and people start asking questions, will Lovely allow her friendships to cloud her judgment? Paul Johnson has written a work that will rivet any reader. A Lovely Murder Down South is an action-powered tale of murder, greed and bitter revenge. It's a must read!

The Murders May Not Be Lovely But This Novel Is

The beautiful Lovely Sinclair is tired of the excessive abuse from her grotesque stepfather. Her young life has been filled with nothing but turmoil and cannot wait until she is able to leave the place that her mother calls home. With her beauty being a site for sore eyes, she could have any and every man that she wants. Lovely's tender and innocent persona only gives the hustlers and ballers more reason to want to treat her like the princess she is. Joy has been a tomboy all of her life. She has no need for the likes of men and cannot fathom being touched and manhandled by some baller. With being Lovely's best friend Joy is used to the attention that her friend receives and just tolerates it. Joy knows that Lovely is going to some sort of hell at home but can just barely deal with the demons that have encircled her domain. Leaving Atlanta cannot come soon enough. Candace has been hustling since she can remember. Her mother has always taught her to make money any way that you can. Boosting provides her with a stable lifestyle while living with her mother but Candace is ready for bigger and better things and one good hustle can finally make her dreams come true. With the help of Joy and the beauty of Lovely, things are looking brighter by the day. Once all three girls put their heads together, their lives will never be the same. Murders become a domino effect and fingers are pointing. While everyone tries to get in where they fit in, someone is watching and waiting to end the madness. One thing that I really enjoyed about this novel was that even though there were quite a few characters in the book, Paul Johnson does an excellent job of intertwining and making you not forget where this character was previously mentioned in the book. Few authors can do this. Paul has a great future ahead of him and I am looking forward to more great literature.

A Lovely Novel

Teenager Lovely Sinclair's beauty is beyond words. She leaves the ballers, hustlers and dope boys of HOTlanta speechless. The men all pause. She's breathtaking. Everyone wants a piece of Lovely, but little do they know, men are the furthest thing on her mind. Scarred by abuse, most see her aloofness as a turn on and want to be the first to have Lovely on their arm. Joy Murphy is Lovely's best friend. With her tall, thin frame and aggressive behavior, the men aren't thinking about her, but she's thinking about them. Vowing to avenge her brother's tragic and untimely death, the men of Atlanta must pay. Candace Atkins, a fellow class mate, receives her real schooling outside of the classroom. Her mother, a stripper, has equipped her daughter with the skills for survival. Lesson #1: "Sex is a woman's most powerful weapon. If used right, it can get you anything you want and control anybody you want." Listening to every word, Candace is a model student. The trio want to leave Atlanta, each for their own reason. But it takes money to make a move. Money they don't have. Money that they are willing to get, by any means necessary. A Lovely Murder Down South, which begins brutally, is a grabber. The plot is gripping and the twists creative. I really liked the play on the title. A Lovely Murder Down South offers an intriguing mix of murder, love, vengeance and deceit. There were some quirks with the editing and sp acing problems, but overall this was a very good book. I look forward to another novel by Paul Johnson. And the sooner, the better.

LOVELY...

Lovely, has to defintitely be a nominee for best female character in the year "A Lovely Murder" was released. Paul Johnson tears the shit up in "A Lovely Murder." If you looking for a unique story, very entertaining with an enticing plot that can be taken to the Big Screen, "A Lovely Murder Down South" is the novel to read. Most of you may not know about Johnson's "Blood Money" but trust and believe, Johnson is talented. He knows the game, cause he lived it. The great thing is that because he lived the "LIFE" he is more than capable of pushing a positive message, and positively reinforcing that there is no good end to street life!!!! Have tons of protected sex... BUT SAY NO TO STREET LIFE!!!!!
