I enjoyed this story ... yes, I can agree with the previous reviewer that the "brother takes the real father's place" stories can get old quickly, but Jacqueline Baird brings depth to these characters and made the story better than average, thus I rate it four stars and recommend. Description from the book back cover: A father for her unborn child ... Josie's husband, Conan Zarcourt, was tall, dark and seriously sexy. Yet Josie could only look, not touch, as theirs was a marriage in name alone. Conan had stepped in as father to his brother's child - the baby Josie was carrying ... A great read

The first time Conan laid eyes on Josie he knew she was the one for him. The second time he saw her was in the aftermath of her lovemaking with his brother Charles. When Charles dies and Conan finds out that Josie is pregnant, he offers her a marriage of convenience, despite the fact that he desperately wants more. In a fortuitous turn of events, though, Josie has an accident and hits her head, giving her amnesia. When she returns home with Conan, she naturally assumes that their marriage is one based on love and passion...
