Intertwined Hearts

A Heart on Consignment is an Amish story that depicts how the Amish always step up and help their communities during times of need and disaster. Salina has become content in her life in helping others and accepting that she will never marry because she feels plain, but her mother is determined to find her a beau much to her embarrassment. Seth has left home and is new to Kentucky as he is trying to escape the embarrassment of being left days before his wedding. Can these two hearts find more than friendship as their paths cross in unexpected ways. An all around enjoyable reading experience as you navigate the Amish world and see an ember of friendship spark to life in two lives who need healing. Jacob is a great character who shows what being a true friend is. With descriptive words that has your imagination picturing the characters, countryside, and consignment shop you will become immersed and feel like you have made new friends. 5 stars, Love finds a way A HEART ON CONSIGNMENT (THE HEART OF THE AMISH) By Mindy Steele Salina Stoltzfus feels pressure from her parents and her friends, because she doesn't have a boyfriend or any hope of marriage any time soon. She has been hurt by a man she cared about and doesn't want to keep looking for true love. Seth Weaver is staying in the same area as Salina, he's nursing his own broken heart. He wants to have a certain kind of job that most people think is silly for an Amish man. He works in his uncle's woodshop, but his heart isn't in woodworking. A nearby storm creates havoc for a nearby town. Salina and Seth are both single and volunteer to start organizing a consignment shop for the victims or anyone who needs help. They start off as pretend friends and go from there. This is a delightful Amish romance. It has the purity that you expect from that genre. Highly recommend.
