Mel Wale was born in 1946, and is known by many as a sportsman, a coach, an amateur dramatist, a teller of bad jokes and a poet. Residing in South Leicestershire, Mel has penned over 400 poems, as well as a number of short stories and song lyrics. Mel has a deep love and encyclopedic knowledge of music from the 50s and 60s, Leicester City FC, Cricket and episodes of Dad's Army. But.. don't panic. Very few of these themes have made it into the poems presented within this collection.
