Before the vibrant petals and the climbing vines, there is the murk-the dark, tangled roots of loss, the heavy clay of grief, the stones of hard-won battles. This collection of poems is not an escape from that murk, but an acknowledgment of it. It is a descent into the quiet pain that reshapes us, the kind that demands to be felt, not ignored.
These poems began in a place of emotional depth and darkness. I wrote them not from a place of inspiration, but of necessity. They were the silent whispers that refused to be held inside. Each verse was a way of finding my way through the labyrinth of sorrow and uncertainty, coming home to my soul, the flower. Writing was not a way to erase the past, but to understand how it had changed the ground beneath my feet.
