Kay Hooper

Although Kay Hooper was born in 1958 in California, she was raised and educated in North Carolina, and currently resides there. Hooper attended Isothermal Community College, quickly changing her focus from business to literature and history. She began writing her first book, the Regency romance Lady Thief, while in school. It was published in 1980. Since then Hooper has published more than sixty novels and several novellas. Hooper also co-owns an independent bookstore with her sister.
