Born in California in 1944, romance author Judith McNaught has worked as an assistant film director, president of a trucking agency, the first female executive producer at a CBS radio station, and as public relations director for General Motors, among other jobs. McNaught is a graduate of Northwestern University. Her New York Times bestselling books include historic and contemporary romances. McNaught has received a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award and a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award, as well as Affaire de Coeur honors. She lives in Houston.
