Yuletide is poetry meant to bring meaning to the Christmas season. Yuletide originates in Norse legend naming the celebration of the dark months of December and January after the turning of the year. Christians redeemed the tradition by bringing the light of the incarnation of Jesus Christ and gospel hope into the season. Tide represents the changing of seasons by the rhythm of the sea. Norse jol is related to the French joli for jolly or festive. Indeed, the birth of the Savior of the world is most worthy of celebration. It is the high tide of history. The author is committed to the historic Christianity that is the source of the inspiration of these poems. This chapbook contains 17 illustrations in linoleum block and pen and ink with 20 Christmas poems.
