Abigail Scott Duniway was an incredible woman, activist, mother and wife, with over 40 years working for women's suffrage. Finally in 1912 she was the first woman to cast her ballot in Oregon, one of the first states to grant women the right to vote, making history. When women live by the laws, they should have a say in making the laws. Her newspaper, " The New Northwest" spoke out about suffrage quite eloquently. This is a must read for everyone interested in women's history. Knowing our history and the shoulders we are standing on, gives us the confidence to work on other issues that affect us all today. Honor Abigail, by VOTING!
