Great Spanish Lessons

I have used some of these pages with my adult students and they love it. My elementary age children find the lessons fun as well. A great way to get started with the spanish language no matter what the age.

Ideal way to learn or practice basic Spanish vocabulary!

The Spanish version of this series is as good as the rest. It is a real fun book with which you can learn basic vocabulary (clothes, animals,countryside, home, parts of the body, around town, useful expressions). It contains games and puzzles like matching games, find the hidden objects, search a word, label the picture, etc. and tear-out flashcards to memorize the words. In the beginning, it has a pronunciation guide describing the sounds of Spanish and of course it contains the answer key to check your progress. In my case, since I am a native speaker of Spanish, I have used this book as a supplement to teach Spanish to foreigners and it has been a real hit! Vocabulary doesn't need to be a pain anymore with this book! (What a pity that they haven't published something similar for intermediate vocabulary!)

Ideal Spanish Textbook for 3rd and 4th graders

I use this series to teach 9-week, enrichment language courses to 3rd and 4th graders. I've already used Your First 100 Words of French, and will adopt Your First 100 Words of Spanish as well. Advantage? The same lessons and corresponding vocabulary, enabling students to draw comparisons between English, French, AND Spanish. The series has a language for everyone -- even Arabic, Chinese, and Korean!
