A reader and health book wrapped up in one.

My 8-year-old son read this to me for Health. We were studying the brain and nervous system. This book gives a good overview of the brain and what it is and what it does. It was age appropriate. It includes a description of the brain and nervous system, senses, thinking and feeling, moving, always on, injuries and illnesses, health and spinal cord. I would recommend it for 8-10 year olds.
