You Must Be Hidden For Preparation

By Charles Sam Seisa

With God, greatness is in obscurity. Sadly, it is this hidden for preparation season that many called servants of God dismiss, are frustrated with and hardly let God finish his work in them. This is the divine pattern in the kingdom of God that you hardly understand. Note that, with God the bigger the mission, the bigger the preparation. It also follows that the broader the influence, the deeper the roots of focused devotion must reach. God would stretch himself as well, to touch on your character development that forms in quiet places. He works on your character by building resilience, and imparting wisdom necessary for future tasks to glorify himself through your ministration. Remember the scripture, Matthew 5v14, "You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden." You can be hidden for preparation, but cannot be hidden anymore once God releases you to manifest from concealment. In answering your call, you may feel unnoticed, unimportant, or undervalued at times, but trust God and his processes, your light still shines and cannot be hidden.

Remember what Psalm 105v19 says, "Until the time came to fulfill his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph's character." Therefore God uses the hidden season to build your patience, humility, and endurance. Hiding seasons as well are used to teach you dependence solely on him. Hiding does foster your deeper relationship with God, as it often strips away distractions and forces you to seek God more earnestly in spirit and in truth. It is in hiding that God gives you a clear divine strategy, aligning you and various elements of ministry life for the fulfillment of his purposes. Note that God's plans are intricate and strategic, he does not do things haphazardly. Alone with him in the hidden place, God gives you clarity and direction. He stands to reveal himself and his plans more profoundly. Recall Apostle Paul's call to ministry.
