The Most Compact Book Against Fatphobia

Another Half Price Book find. I knew absolutely nothing about the author or the topic other than what you see. And I KNEW it would contain brilliance just from the cover! I wasn't wrong. Even though it's a small book, she said exactly what she needed to and said it well! If you're looking for an easily digestible starter book on the phenomenon of fatphobia and body dysmorphia, then I highly recommend you get this book. Even if you've read lots of books on the topic, and are well versed in its history, language development, and cultural significance to white supremacy, I STILL recommend you buy this book! Because it's that good. I wish it had been longer, but it says everything it needs to and I respect that. Learning more deeply about this in the US is an odd fascination for me. I've never thought that fat people were gross or not beautiful, or any of that. It confused me as a child, and I challenge it now. Actually, I reject it completely now. And if you don't, then you should read this book! 10/10 recommend
