Romantic Suspense

This is a Romantic Suspense/Thriller, and this is the first book in the Laurel Snow series. I loved this book so much, and this book kept me guessing. I was so worried for the characters so many times in this book, and I also did not guess who was the murderer in this book. I loved getting to know all the characters in this book, and Yes...I will be reading the second book in this series. The ending was just everything you want in a thriller/suspense. The romance was good, but the big show in this book is the suspense/mystery. I received an ARC of this book. This review is my own honest opinion about the book like all my reviews are.

1st in series

#BETWEENTHECHAPTERS #LaurelSnowRomanticThriller A new series introducing Laurel Snow. I read this book in 1 day. It's an engrossing, intricate, slow burn thriller that grabs you and hold on and keeps you guessing. Laurel is an FBI profiler with eidetic memory, heterochromia iridun, & a little lacking on people skills. She's sent home to investigate a discovery of dead bodies that were unearthed by an ATV accident. She's assigned to work with Captain Huck Rivers of the Fish & Game. A mysterious and abrupt man who makes no bones about working with a Fed. Setting up shop to start investigating, Laurel teams up and hires Kate as an assistant and coordinates with the local law and Huck. Trying to identify the bodies, gather background information, and interview witnesses has Laurel & Huck at their wits end connecting the victims. An enigmatic witness named Abigail begins a cat and mouse with Laurel in a battle of wits that Laurel is unsure of. The matching of their minds and education unsettles Laurel and she can't quite put her finger on why. Meanwhile there's something simmering between Laurel and Huck that needs to be explored all while Laurel is dealing with living at home with her mother where buried secrets lie and some family become suspects in the killings. Someone is pulling the strings as the body count starts to rise as Laurel and Huck try to flush out a serial killer who is also trying to flush out Laurel. Secrets from the past are revealed and a bombshell drops with devastating results.

I couldn't put the book down

If your into romantic thrillers, then I recommend "you can run". The storyline has twist and turns. It keeps you wanting more and more. I honestly couldn't put down the book because I wanted answers. And the ending... Would recommend. And I would read it again.
