it is necessary to read through the instructions given with each lesson and to make sure you are aware of all the transitions that will be incorporated. I do not think this would be a very good book for beginners, but it is excellent for someone who has a basic idea of how to do many of the poses, and what not to do in each of them, like keeping your knees in line with your feet when in warrior poses, and to not turn your head while in bridge pose. If you have been to classes, or have been practicing from thoroughly instructive videos, this book is an excellent way to mix things up a bit, as well as develop a grace in your yoga practice that can sometimes be left out in other programs. The book is full of useful information on breathing, and some other odds and ends. I highly recommend it and am still using it after three years and continuie to benefit from what it has to offer.
Fabulous but frustrating

This book is innovative, creative, beautifully illustrated and crafted. There are sequences for beginners and for more advanced practitioners, sets of warm-ups and various "flows" with clever and appropriate names, complete with recommendations for breathing practices. Flowing yoga sequences are printed on fold-out pages which is interesting, but you still need to weight the book open if you're going to refer to it while you practice. Paging through the book is a bit tricky because of the double thickness. The frustration of this book is a side-effect of its uniqueness, the sequences are placed on the page in a "figure eight" layout and this is difficult to follow. The well worded, descriptive instructions are sometimes hard to find as a result of the fold-out pages, (they are not given with the corresponding poses) and some transitions which one needs to go from pose to pose are in the back of the book (flipping back and forth required). If you're willing to take the time to study the book and learn the sequences, you'll get plenty from this book. I'm considering clipping the pages from mine and reorganizing them so I can follow the poses without standing on my head...

As a teacher I'm always looking for creative and new ideas to bring into my class and YogaFlows gives me just that. My YOGAmazing classes are built on the same theory as Mohini's by blending hatha and vinyasa with proper breathing through a sequencing and fluid yoga routine you'll create a truly unique class for your stiudents. It's great to see that we're on the same page. Check it out, it's worth the cost and there's nohing else like it on the market!
