Life is not a dress rehearsal. This is our only chance. And, given that it is our only chance, Dr. Janis Dietz wants to show the reader how to make the most of it how to weather challenges, illnesses,... This description may be from another edition of this product.
What an uplifting book! In story after story, Dr. Dietz shows how affirming life can/should be. Meeting the challenges (physical, mental, spiritual...there are so many!) of everyday life can be brutal. But in this heartwarming book, just seeing how others deal with threatened and real problems gives encouragement to anyone facing difficult trials. I came away from the book with a realistic view that will help me to reconsider not only my own small problems, but rethink the way I look at others' disabilities. It wasn't until I had read Dr. Dietz's other book, "The Three Simple Secrets of Success After the Diploma: Integrity, Persistence, and Discipline", that I became aware of what a wonderful writer she was. I look forward to reading her next book!
