Excellent reference book

I have read this reference cover to cover and then gone back to review specific subjects many times. Subjects are listed alphabetically with a summary narrative provided of each item with ample references and cross references, including 600 pictures, to those whose work is described. This is a handy reference book neutral in its religious politics. It presents in instances where there is debate both sides of the issue. For the average man, bible student, and freshman college student this is a good book to keep handy. My copy is 8 years out of date (c2,000), but given it goes back 5,000 years - good enough for most purposes except the very latest updates due to recent discoveries. Rev. Nick Federspiel
