In this sequel to WorldSinger: Timeline, Conall Berrigan and Alvy Quinn are struggling to satisfy the increasing demands of the three lives they lead and a new mystery facing the Singers. First, they must deal with their personal lives, where they are deep into wedding planning. Conall (an only child), is learning how to cope with marrying into a large Irish family. While most of the Quinn family welcome him to the family, his future father-in-law, a Navy captain, isn't sold that a musician is good enough for one of his daughters. Further complicating their personal lives, Conall and the others present at the restoration of the True History now suffer from various physical and psychological ailments as they try to reconcile the history they've always known with the history they returned to reality. These ailments force them into counseling with another Singer, who is also a practicing psychologist. Second is their professional lives, where after years of their band performing on the Southern California bar circuit, they have finally been signed to a record label and are about to record their first album. While they have always dreamt of success, Conall, Alvy and their band now face the pressure and doubt that come with getting a recording contract. Extra rehearsal time, plus anxiety over getting their debut album right, has everyone in the band on edge. Third is their secret lives as Singers, a powerful secret society of adepts who can control matter and energy by manipulating string energy through their Songs. Having thwarted those who would undermine history, the Singers now face a new threat from an unknown source which is slowly destroying their universe. In addition to finding the source of issue and fixing the problem before it's too late, Conall and his allies must seek assistance from new and sometimes unexpected sourced, including a mysterious stranger who is immune to their Singing skills and displays abilities far beyond their own. WorldSinger: Multiverse explores the nature of the multiverse and requires Conall and his friends to battle forces on several fronts, even as they add new members to their group. However, in some cases, the price of restoring universe to its proper balance and sealing off access to the multiverse will again cost some members of their band their lives.
